        John Henry Taylor Biography  | 
       
      
        John Henry Taylor (March 19, 1871 - 1963) was one of the pioneers of the modern game of golf. He was a member of the fabled Great Triumvirate of the sport, along with Harry Vardon and James Braid (golf). 
 
Taylor was also a co-founder of the PGA. Bernard Darwin wrote that Taylor "had turned a feckless company into a self-respecting and respected body of men".
